I make the drive up from Provo for this restaurant because it is FLAVORFUL, AUTHENTIC, AFFORDABLE, and everything you could ever hope for eating Thai food. The couple that runs the kitchen is so nice and they've done an excellent job maintaining the quality of this place over the years. Our fav dishes were the pad kee mao (the basil flavor is to die for), the drunken noodles, and the red curry. We like the kao soi but found it sweeter than we liked. We were bummed because they were out of the beef waterfall salad that we wanted to try!! But that's just a good excuse to return soon. Inside seating is SLIM so don't plan on dining in (unless it's a good weather day - there is patio seating.) DONT SLEEP ON LAAN NA THAI

Tiny but mighty, I have every reason to believe I've uncovered a local gem. My good friend took me here and after driving past it for years with curiosity, I was met with an authentic Thai experience, insanely low prices, and fresh food. They have special combos every day of the week, and being there on a Friday, I ordered the yellow curry combo with white rice - for a whopping $5.99. I'm not kidding!! An entire Thai plate for $5.99?! I too, was too stunned to speak. The curry was exactly what I hope for from a yellow curry, traditionally flavored, spiced with intention, and steaming hot. This family owned and operated business offers dishes that speak for themselves, but it isn't somewhere you'll likely be dining in. There are about 4 stools total inside, so unless you're visiting in the warmer months and wish to sit outside, it's bread and butter is tasty takeout. We were one of the lucky ones who snagged two barstools on a frigid winter's night. Will definitely be returning since I'm still in shock over how affordable and delicious this place is.

Random impulse try but for being such a small restaurant, the food packs a punch. For 12$ or so I got a take away combo with rice, a curry, and a chicken dish. And it was as good as any sit down Thai restaurant Ive been to recently. Huge fan. I could see myself running here anytime I have a Thai food craving. Food only took 5 min max to come out after ordering. Friendly staff. Only a few places to sit outside so most people takeaway which is just fine by me. Delicious

Good thai food for an incredible price and speed. The owners are great. Almost no seating inside, though there are a few tables outside in the summer.

WOW! I am a thai food enthusiast and Laan Na surpassed all my expectations! I got the Pad Se Ew and a side of chicken satay. The chicken satay was some of the juiciest chicken I have ever had! The restaurant itself is very small, only a few stools and a small standing area. While I was waiting for my food, I spotted an article written on the restaurant. Yupin and Wichai Charoen (the owners of Laan Na) are the pinnacle of a small business success story. Originally from Thailand, they had many obstacles while opening this restaurant, but against all odds they have prevailed! Laan Na is now a heart beat of the Salt Lake City community with a very loyal customer base. Will definitely come back here the next time I'm in Salt Lake City!

Definitely one of if not the best spot for basic Thai food in SLC. This small mom and pop shop cranks out Pad See Ew and Pad Thai orders so consistently and packed with flavor in the multiple times I've eaten here. Orders usually take within 5-10 minutes and you can even call it in ahead of time. I usually just eat it outside in front of the shop and enjoy the nice weather when it's not winter. Would definitely recommend if you're a Pad See Ew or Pad Thai person.

We decided to try this mom and pop Thai place right when we arrived to SLC. It's really tiny inside. The kitchen is right behind the register. We chose to get take out. We got their pad see ew and a 2 item combo (kao soi and the kee mao). The total was a little over $21. Taste: Amazing!! Wow it has good flavor and the food is not overly salty. I've tried so many Thai places in Los Angeles and this one is one of my tops Thai places (and it's not even in LA). Value: Excellent. Pricing is excellent. Highly recommend you try them if you can :)

This is the best Thai food in Utah. It is truly a hole in the wall and mom-and-pop run. I've had their daily specials, curry dumplings, drunken noodles, pad siew, pad Thai, and more. Everything they make is so delicious and authentic. There is minimal indoor seating, some outdoor seating and is very take-out oriented. There might not be a ton of parking around especially on Saturdays during farmers market season , as it is on the north side of Pioneer Park. The two people running the place are so hardworking and even though it is sometimes a little bit slower, I have so much appreciation for the hard work they do. They also keep the prices super fair and if you get the daily specials, you get a large amount of amazingly delicious food for under $10. That is so rare to find, especially with the quality of the food and the downtown location.
